Thailand, Cambodia Reach Unconditional Ceasefire Agreement

Thailand and Cambodia have agreed on unconditional ceasefire.

According to foreign media reports, Thailand and Cambodia have agreed on a ceasefire during talks held in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.

The report stated that the negotiations were attended by Thailand’s acting Prime Minister, Cambodia’s Prime Minister, and Malaysia’s Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, while the US and Chinese ambassadors were also present.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim announced that Thailand and Cambodia have agreed on an unconditional ceasefire.

He said that the US President urged both leaders to seek a peaceful resolution, and both parties agreed to restore direct communication.

At the same time, the Cambodian Prime Minister said the talks were positive and expressed hope that the fighting would stop immediately.

It is worth noting that border clashes between Thailand and Cambodia have so far resulted in 35 deaths and displaced over 300,000 people.
