Saudi Arabia introduces new facility for visit visa holders, including Pakistanis
Saudi Arabia has announced a new 30-day grace period for people staying in the country with expired visit visas. The decision was made to help visitors leave the country legally without facing harsh penalties.
The update was shared by the General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) on social media platform X. The grace period starts from July 26, 2025, and applies to all types of visit visas, including:
Family visit visas
Business visit visas
Single-entry and multiple-entry visit visas
This offer is for people who stayed in Saudi Arabia after their visa expired. The goal is to improve rules and encourage legal stay in the country.
How to Use the Grace Period
To benefit from this 30-day exit period, visitors must:
Pay any required fines or fees
Apply through the Absher online platform
Use the “Tawasul” service to submit the request
Leave the country within 30 days once the request is approved
This facility was first introduced in June 2025 and has now been extended. The Saudi government hopes this step will help visitors follow immigration rules and avoid legal trouble.
