U.S. Imposes Full Ban on Russian Oil Imports: Trump Warns India of Consequences
The United States has imposed a complete ban on the import of oil from Russia, according to foreign media reports.
Speaking to the press at the White House, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that two individuals injured in a recent attack on a military base are in critical condition, and the attacker is currently in custody.
Trump warned that India would have to pay the price for continuing to buy Russian oil, adding that if India does not halt these purchases, further tariffs will be imposed.
He also remarked that just a year ago, the U.S. was being labeled as bankrupt, but now several companies are investing billions of dollars in the country. He announced that Apple will invest an additional $100 billion in the U.S. and emphasized that iPhones sold in America should be manufactured domestically.
Trump noted that he had visited several countries, including those in the Gulf, to encourage investment. He revealed plans to impose significant tariffs on chips and semiconductors, adding that there will be no charges for companies that manufacture them within the U.S.
According to Trump, the approval of the “Big Beautiful Bill” is helping improve the U.S. economy.
He reiterated that if India does not stop buying Russian oil, it will face further tariffs and must bear the consequences of growing closer to Russia.
