Three Months After Air Battle, India Claims Six Pakistani Jets Downed

09 August, 2025 20:25

Three months after losing six aircraft to Pakistan Air Force (PAF) jets, the Indian Air Chief appears rattled.

Indian Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh has claimed that during the four-day conflict—widely seen as a global embarrassment for India—the Indian Air Force destroyed six Pakistani aircraft, including five fighter jets.

According to Singh, the Indian Air Force targeted Pakistan’s airfields and destroyed aircraft parked there.

However, Pakistan had revealed details of shooting down Indian fighter jets, including Rafales, immediately after the aerial clash on May 7—claims later supported by Indian media reports.

The PAF had also intercepted Indian aircraft communications, even releasing recordings of cockpit conversations.

With no evidence provided even after three months, the Indian Air Chief’s statements have raised further questions about the professional credibility of the Indian Air Force.
