Closure of Pakistani Airspace Heavily Impacts Air India

12 August, 2025 13:03

The closure of Pakistani airspace has forced Modi’s Air India to suspend its Delhi to Washington service. In response to Indian aggression in May 2025, Pakistan’s retaliatory measures have pushed the Indian airline into an operational crisis.

According to the Indian newspaper The Indian Express, Air India has decided to suspend its non-stop Delhi to Washington flight starting September 1. The suspension is due to limited availability of Boeing 787 aircraft and the closure of Pakistani airspace.

The Indian Express reported that the closure of Pakistani airspace is creating further challenges for long-haul flights. Due to the closure, flight paths have become longer and operational complexities have increased. The closure has extended the duration of international flights heading west from northern India.

The Indian Express disclosed that flight schedule data suggests that the route may remain closed for a significant period next year.

After the Pakistani ban, India has been forced to acknowledge its reliance on Pakistani airspace.

Modi government’s diplomatic isolation has restricted India’s air routes, causing major losses for Air India.

Due to the incompetence of Modi’s administration, India is facing embarrassment at the international level.

Modi’s arrogant policies have pushed the Indian aviation industry into global difficulties.
