Saudi Arabia Issues Severe Weather Warning Amid Heavy Rains, Floods, Storms

Torrential rains have wreaked havoc in the Asir region of southwestern Saudi Arabia, with flash floods sweeping away dozens of vehicles.

According to Saudi media, the Saudi National Center for Meteorology (NCM) has issued a severe weather warning, forecasting heavy rainfall, thunderstorms, and flooding in several regions, including Najran, Jazan, Asir, Al-Baha, Makkah, and Madinah.

The forecast also includes strong winds, hailstorms, and sandstorms, which could significantly reduce visibility in parts of the Kingdom.

Authorities have appealed to residents to take precautionary measures, avoid flood-prone areas, and adhere to official safety advisories as the inclement weather persists.
