Iran to End Cooperation with IAEA Amid Growing Pressure
Tehran: Iran has announced its decision to suspend cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) in response to growing pressure and renewed sanctions from European nations.
The move was confirmed by Iran’s Supreme National Security Council, which stated that the actions of Britain, France, and Germany have left Iran with no choice but to halt collaboration with the global nuclear watchdog. However, the exact timing of this suspension has not been disclosed.
According to Iranian state media, the decision was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by President of the Supreme National Security Council, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, who condemned the European countries for what he called “hostile and unjustified” measures.
A statement released after the meeting warned that any reimposition of sanctions on Iran would lead to a complete suspension of cooperation with the IAEA.
