Trump Orders Palestinians to Leave Gaza, Ultimatum to Hamas

03 October, 2025 21:10

US President Donald Trump on Friday issued a stark public ultimatum to Hamas and urged Palestinian civilians to leave Gaza immediately, saying a deal with the militant group could be reached by Sunday evening.

In a statement, Trump said he had given Hamas until Sunday at 6pm to accept terms. He urged “innocent Palestinians” to move at once to safer parts of Gaza, saying the move would also save the lives of remaining Hamas fighters if the group agrees to the terms.

Trump made several strong claims in the statement, saying Hamas “has long been a danger in the Middle East” and has made life “unbearably painful” for civilians. He added that many Hamas fighters were now encircled and that US and allied forces “know who the members are” and “they will be targeted.”

The president said any agreement would require the release of all hostages. He also claimed that major Middle Eastern nations had agreed with the US and Israel on a path to peace and vowed that stability would be established in the region “by any means necessary.”

Trump framed the proposed deal as a way to protect civilian lives and end the conflict, urging Palestinians to move to designated safe areas in Gaza “immediately” if they want to survive pending any agreement.
