Iran Executes Six Alleged Mossad Agents
Iran executed six men on Saturday for allegedly working with Israel’s intelligence agency, Mossad, and one Kurdish militant linked to the killing of a cleric, according to Iranian state media.
The executions were carried out early morning in Ahvaz, located in Khuzestan Province. Authorities said the individuals were involved in terrorist attacks, bombings, and assassinations targeting Iranian security forces and religious figures.
Iran’s state news agency reported that the executed men were part of a “terrorist group affiliated with the Zionist regime,” and had received foreign funding and support to destabilize the region.
Officials said the group was responsible for several deadly operations over recent years, including attacks on police, military bases, banks, mosques, and public spaces.
Those executed were linked to the killings of key figures such as Allah-Nazar Safari, Mohammad Reza Rafiei-Nasab, Ali Salehi-Majd, and Younes Bahr.
According to the judiciary, the men confessed to:
Planting explosives
Bombing a gas station in Khorramshahr
Throwing grenades at a military center
Attacking banks and mosques with gunfire
Iranian media labeled them “Mossad agents” who aimed to spark unrest in Khuzestan — a province known for its ethnic diversity and history of tension.
The executions come as Tehran continues its crackdown on groups it accuses of working with foreign intelligence agencies.
