Hamas Confirms Peace Deal with Israel to End Gaza War
Hamas presents key conditions in Gaza peace talks with Israel
Hamas has officially confirmed that a peace agreement has been signed with Israel to end the months-long war in Gaza. The announcement came on Thursday, marking the first major breakthrough after weeks of negotiations mediated by international guarantors.
According to details shared by foreign media, the agreement includes several important steps aimed at restoring calm in the Gaza Strip. Under the first phase, Israeli forces will begin a gradual withdrawal from Gaza. At the same time, humanitarian aid will be allowed to enter the territory to support thousands of displaced families.
Hamas confirmed that it signed the first phase of the peace deal and expressed its commitment to upholding all terms of the agreement.
As part of the deal, Israel will release 2,000 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for several Israeli hostages held in Gaza. The exchange process is expected to start within 72 hours after the agreement takes effect.
Hamas leaders stated that their group will continue to defend the rights of Palestinians to freedom, sovereignty, and self-determination. They also called on guarantor countries to ensure that Israel strictly follows all agreed terms.
The group urged the international community, especially the United Nations, Qatar, and Egypt, to monitor the peace process closely. These nations played a vital role in bringing both sides to the table and finalizing the agreement.
Observers believe that the implementation of this peace plan could pave the way for a long-term truce and possibly open doors for wider political talks in the region.
