Iran Rejects Trump’s Offer for Talks, Calls It Contradictory
Iran has rejected U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent offer for talks, calling it contradictory and insincere.
President Trump, while addressing the Israeli Parliament yesterday, said that the United States is open to friendship and cooperation with Iran. He described the moment as the beginning of a new historic era in the Middle East.
However, Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs quickly responded, criticizing Trump’s remarks. A spokesperson said, “Washington’s attitude remains hostile and criminal,” dismissing the offer for talks as untrustworthy.
This development comes just months after a brief war between Iran and Israel in June, during which the U.S. reportedly attacked Iranian nuclear facilities. President Trump had claimed at the time that the U.S. had completely destroyed Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.
Western countries, including the U.S., have long accused Iran of trying to develop nuclear weapons. Iran has strongly denied these accusations, insisting its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes only.
