UAE releases new visa-required countries list for 2025
ABU DHABI: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has become one of the most popular travel and business destinations in the world, known for its modern lifestyle, tourism attractions, and investor-friendly policies.
Recently, the UAE government released an updated list of countries whose citizens must get a visa before entering the country. The list includes 107 countries from Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. The move aims to make the visa process more organized and ensure smooth border security.
According to the official list, citizens of Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nigeria, Algeria, and the Philippines are among those who need to apply for a visa before traveling to the UAE.
The updated list also includes countries such as Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Kenya, Ghana, Turkey, Cuba, and the Dominican Republic, as well as smaller island nations like Samoa, Palau, and Tuvalu.
This updated policy shows the UAE’s continued efforts to balance tourism growth with strict immigration and security controls.

UAE Visa Ban Update 2025
Apart from the visa-required countries, the UAE has also placed a temporary ban on tourist and work visas for citizens of nine nations, including Nigeria, Ghana, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Cameroon, Liberia, Republic of Benin, Congo, and Burundi.
These steps are part of the UAE’s regular review of visa regulations to maintain secure and efficient entry procedures for visitors and workers alike.
