Faisal Niaz Tirmizi assumes charge as Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation

Moscow: Mr. Faisal Niaz Tirmizi has assumed his duties as Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation with effect from 26 October 2025.
Ambassador Tirmizi is a seasoned career diplomat with extensive experience in international relations, diplomacy, and foreign affairs. Prior to his appointment in Moscow, he served in key diplomatic assignments in the United States, the United Arab Emirates, and at the United Nations.
Upon assuming charge, Ambassador Tirmizi expressed his determination to further enhance Pakistan–Russia relations, focusing on deepening cooperation in political, economic, and trade domains.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, his appointment is expected to strengthen the multifaceted partnership between Pakistan and Russia, paving the way for greater collaboration in energy, defense, education, and cultural exchanges.
