Israeli Settlers Attack Palestinians, Teen Dies from Tear Gas Injuries
A young Palestinian man was seriously injured after being attacked by Israeli settlers in the Bedouin community of Arab al-Rashaida, northwest of Ariha. He suffered a skull fracture and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
In another incident, a Palestinian woman was hurt when settlers threw stones at vehicles in al-Rashaida, east of Beit Lahm. The attacks occurred near illegal Israeli settlements of Ma’ale Amos and Ibei Hanahal.
Teenager Dies from Tear Gas Exposure
On Tuesday, 13-year-old Issam Jihad Ma’ala died a month after inhaling tear gas fired by Israeli forces in olive groves near the West Bank village of Beita. Eyewitnesses said the soldiers fired gas in all directions, causing Ma’ala to convulse and suffocate.
Settlers Set Fire to Property
Dozens of masked settlers attacked two Palestinian villages on Tuesday, setting fire to vehicles and targeting the al-Juneidi dairy factory. An employee said the arson was organized, with settlers pouring gasoline and lighting fires in a coordinated manner.
Israeli Forces Seize Land and Seal Homes
The Israeli military issued an order to seize 38 dunams of Palestinian-owned land in Beit Ummar, north of al-Khalil. The land, planted with grapevines, almond trees, and olive trees, belongs to families who depend on it for their income.
In addition, Israeli forces sealed off several homes in al-Khalil, including those of the Idris family near the Ibrahimi Mosque. Residents of the Jaber, Salaymeh, and Wad al-Hussein neighborhoods have been isolated for over a year due to previous closures.
