Bondi Beach Attack: Online Propaganda Puts Pakistani Youth at Risk in Sydney

15 December, 2025 12:05

In relation to the Sydney event at Bondi Beach, social media accounts from Afghanistan and India have started a fake and baseless propaganda campaign to malign Pakistan.

Sheikh Naveed, a Pakistani youngster living in Australia, was falsely identified as one of the attackers in these accounts.

Sheikh Naveed responded to the exploitation of his photos on social media by making it clear that he has nothing to do with any terrorist incident and that his photos are being used to propagate false information.

Sheikh Naveed claimed that the false advertising has seriously jeopardized his reputation and personal safety, as media sources revealed. He called for quick action to put an end to the deceptive social media campaign against him.

Notably, a terrorist attack in Sydney, Australia, resulted in 12 fatalities and 19 injuries, including two police officers.

One attacker was murdered during the counter-operation, according to police, while the second suspect was apprehended with injuries.

However, Sydney resident Naveed Akram was named as one of the assailants, according to Australian and British media.

Ahmed, a Muslim male, was injured while trying to subdue the assailant and take his weapon. In fact, a Jewish religious gathering was taking place at Bondi Beach when the incident happened.
