Revealed: Indian Passports of Sydney Attack Suspect Sajid Akram and Son
The passports of Indian-origin terrorist Sajid Akram and his son, who were involved in the Sydney attack, have been revealed.
According to available details, Sajid Akram’s passport was issued by the Indian Embassy on February 24, 2022, with a validity period of 10 years. This confirms that the Indian Embassy was aware of the attacker’s Indian citizenship from the very beginning.
Despite this, Indian authorities allegedly deliberately concealed the truth, allowing time for sections of the Indian media to falsely blame Pakistan for the attack. Immediately after the Sydney incident, Indian media outlets attempted to portray the attacker as Pakistani through misleading and fabricated propaganda, in what appears to have been an effort to defame Pakistan internationally.
According to the British newspaper The Guardian, Australia deported two officials of India’s intelligence agency, RAW, in 2020. The action was taken against a network that Australian intelligence described as a “nexus of spies.” The report also stated that the expelled Indian agents were involved in profiling members of the Indian community living in Australia.
Experts suggest that the two terrorists involved in the Sydney attack may have had links to India’s intelligence agency, RAW.
It is also noteworthy that Sajid Akram recently traveled to the Philippines using an Indian passport, further confirming his Indian nationality.
