US and Israel Trying to Spark Unrest After War Defeat: Iran Army Chief

Iran’s Chief of General Staff, Major General Abdolrahim Mousavi, has said that the United States and the Zionist government are trying to spread unrest and riots in the country after their defeat in the 12-day war.

According to a report by Mehr News Agency, Iranian Chief of General Staff Major General Mousavi, while addressing a ceremony, said that the entire attention of the US and the Zionist government is focused on creating unrest and riots in the country using soft war means so as to atone for the defeat in the imposed 12-day war.

He further explained that when the US and the Zionist government became frustrated with this fruitless aggression and faced a clear defeat in this imposed 12-day war, they devised a new plan, under which an attempt was made to spread insecurity and unrest in the country using soft war tactics and economic pressure.

Major General Mousavi said that when a few shopkeepers staged a legitimate and legal protest for the stability of the currency and improvement of business conditions, the enemy, in haste and greed, deployed trained elements to the field to harm the peaceful life and security of the people and took advantage of the protest gathering to incite riots through psychological operations and mental warfare methods.

He said that, however, fortunately, the Iranian nation, which knows the enemy well, separated its ranks from the rioting elements.

The Iranian military chief added that with the cooperation of the public, law enforcement agencies will thwart the conspiracies of the rioters, and the Iranian people will respond harshly, through their revolutionary behavior, to those elements who speak rudely and blasphemously to this nation.
