India faces growing isolation over controversial regional policies

India has faced increasing global and regional isolation due to its controversial policies. Critics argue that the Hindutva ideology has fueled anti-India sentiments in neighboring countries, including Bangladesh.

Bangladesh suspended the issuance of visas to Indian nationals following threats from extremist elements within India. Furthermore, the American magazine Foreign Policy has highlighted the diplomatic challenges India faces in its relationship with Bangladesh.

India’s strategic ambitions are increasingly viewed by critics as a threat not only to regional stability but also to global peace. Due to the prevailing ideological shifts and hegemonic aspirations, some observers now characterize India as a “net regional destabilizer.”
