MBS Says Saudi Arabia Will Not Be Used Against Iran
Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian held a telephone conversation. The two leaders discussed the latest regional developments.
The Saudi Crown Prince made it clear during the conversation that Saudi Arabia will not support any kind of aggression or provocation against Iran. He said that Saudi Arabia will not allow its land and airspace to be used against Iran.
Prince Mohammed bin Salman said that Saudi Arabia supports peace and stability in the region and will oppose any move that leads to an increase in tensions.
On this occasion, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian said that Iran has always welcomed efforts to prevent war within the framework of international law. Iran still supports any measure that reduces tensions.
The Iranian president expressed concern over US threats, saying that such statements increase instability in the region. He said that America’s psychological warfare and pressure policy are harmful to regional peace.
Masoud Pezeshkian stressed that unity among Islamic countries can be a guarantee of lasting peace and security in the region.
It should be noted that the US fleet, including the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln, recently arrived in the Middle East. The deployment comes at a time of increasing tensions between the US and Iran.
According to US Central Command, the fleet is deployed to promote security and stability in the region. However, tensions between Iran and the US remain high.
