Former FBI supervisory special agent and criminal profiler Jim Clemente told Fox News that such tattoos could be a key identifier for suspects. He said:

“That tattoo, if it is a tattoo, will be able to help them rule in and rule out people. Certainly it will help the public.”

FBI Description of the Masked Kidnapper

The FBI released a full description of the suspect on February 12, 2026 (ET). The masked individual is a male approximately 5’9” to 5’10” tall with an average build. He was carrying a black 25-litre Ozark Trail Hiker Pack and wore a ski mask, gloves, and a zip-up jacket. Footage also showed the suspect with a handgun holstered at his waist.

Officials continue to investigate all leads, and Dominic Evans remains under scrutiny due to his connections and proximity, though no formal charges have been filed in relation to Nancy Guthrie’s abduction.
