SWAT Raid Hits Baird Greene’s Home Amid Nancy Guthrie Kidnapping Investigation, Not Dominic Evans

14 February, 2026 13:49

Twelve days have passed since Nancy Guthrie, the 84-year-old mother of American journalist Savannah Guthrie, went missing from her Tucson, Arizona home. Authorities, including the FBI and local law enforcement, continue to investigate, having recovered visuals of a masked person of interest and an unmasked individual spotted near Nancy’s residence a week before her disappearance. Recently, Pima County SWAT and bomb squad units were mobilized, leading to the raid of a residence reportedly connected to the ongoing investigation.

Dominic Evans’ house was initially speculated to have been raided

On February 13, 2026, SWAT teams searched a home in Tucson, less than two miles from where Nancy Guthrie was last seen. Social media speculation linked Dominic Evans, longtime bandmate and friend of Tommaso Cioni (Nancy’s son-in-law), to the raid due to his proximity and connection to the family. “For the unversed, Dominic is the bandmate and longtime friend of Tommaso Cioni, husband of Annie Guthrie and son-in-law of Nancy Guthrie.”

Latest updates clarify the raid location

However, updated reports indicate that the raid occurred at the residence of Baird Greene, an attorney with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office, not Dominic Evans’ home. Greene previously served as Chief Deputy at the Pima County Attorney’s Office. Unverified reports suggest Greene may have rented the property to individuals now considered persons of interest in the case. During the raid, a man and woman were allegedly detained, with some sources identifying the man as Greene’s relative, Jeremy Greene, though no official charges or confirmations have been made by law enforcement.

Ongoing investigation and public speculation

Investigators have also recovered DNA from Nancy’s property that does not belong to her or anyone in close contact with her, which is now being analyzed at a private lab in Florida. Authorities continue to focus on the masked, armed suspect captured on doorbell camera footage. “As the FBI publicised the photos and videos of the masked man, the internet was buzzing with speculations regarding the kidnapper being Nancy’s son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni.” Some social media users suggest the suspect’s physical build and facial hair resemble Tommaso, though attention also shifted to Dominic Evans due to the height discrepancies and public theories.
