Igor Komarov Dead? Dismembered Body Parts Found on Bali Beach Amid Ukraine Mob Boss Son Kidnapping

28 February, 2026 09:20

Indonesian authorities in Bali are conducting DNA tests on dismembered human remains discovered on the island to determine if they belong to 28-year-old Ukrainian tourist Igor Komarov. The investigation follows Komarov’s reported abduction while riding a motorcycle in the Jimbaran area, a massive ransom demand, and subsequent arrests of several foreign nationals.

Komarov, son of Ukraine mob boss Oleksandr ‘Narik’ Petrovsky, was kidnapped amid claims of financial disputes and alleged involvement in scams. A friend of Komarov, Yermak Petrovsky, reportedly escaped an ambush by assailants on a northern Bali road, prompting authorities to launch a full-scale investigation.

Graphic, unverified videos circulated online showing a beaten man, purportedly Komarov, pleading with his parents to pay a ransom of INR 831.32 million (USD 10 million).

Forensic Investigation and Body Remains

The dismembered body parts were discovered in an advanced state of decomposition, with forensic experts estimating the individual had been dead for more than three days. Bali Police spokesperson Senior Commissioner Ariasandy stressed that DNA testing is required to confirm the identity:

“While there is a possibility the remains are those of the missing Ukrainian, officials must wait for DNA matching before making a formal identification.”

Samples have been collected from Komarov’s mother for comparison. Authorities are maintaining caution, refraining from speculation until forensic results are conclusive.

Alleged Financial Motives

Footage linked to the case reportedly shows Komarov with broken limbs and severed fingers, admitting to a debt and pleading:

“They stole those USD 10 million”

The videos suggest he may have been involved in a bank account scamming operation. Investigators are examining whether the kidnapping was a targeted attack related to these financial disputes. Social media posts by Komarov’s girlfriend, lifestyle influencer Yeva Mishalova, who has 146,000 followers, may have helped the captors track his movements during the holiday.

Arrests of Foreign Nationals

Bali Police have arrested six foreign nationals in connection with the case. The initial breakthrough came when a man, identified by the initials CH, was caught attempting to flee the island with a fraudulent passport and rented vehicles. Subsequent arrests included individuals identified as RM, BK, AS, VN, SM, and DH. The suspects’ nationalities have not been officially disclosed.

Authorities continue to investigate the plot’s logistics and the possible primary crime scene while awaiting DNA confirmation to establish whether the remains belong to Igor Komarov.

This high-profile kidnapping has drawn international attention, as Bali authorities work to resolve the case and determine the full scope of the criminal operation.
