Iran fired missiles and drones at Israel and US military bases across the Middle East on Saturday. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) said it was a “retaliatory operation” after US and Israeli strikes on Iranian territory. Iran warned that further attacks could follow.
The strikes, called “True Promise 4” by Iran, began less than three hours after the US and Israeli attacks. They targeted locations in Israel, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Kuwait, and the Kurdistan Region. This operation continues previous retaliatory attacks by Iran, including responses to the killing of Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani and June 2025 strikes.
The IRGC said it targeted the main base of the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, as well as US bases in Qatar and the UAE, along with military and security sites in Israel. Bahrain’s state media confirmed the US naval command center was targeted.
The UAE reported that one civilian was killed in Abu Dhabi. Kuwait said Iran fired missiles toward Ali Al Salem Air Base, but its defenses intercepted them. Qatar confirmed that all missiles fired toward the country were intercepted. A Jordanian official said two Iranian missiles were stopped by the country’s air defenses.
Iranian media reported attacks on Saudi Arabia’s King Fahd military base, though this was not officially confirmed. Saudi Arabia condemned the strikes and supported measures by affected countries.
In the Kurdistan Region, Iran fired missiles and drones at Erbil, but US-led coalition defenses intercepted them. Kurdish authorities confirmed there were no human or material casualties.
The IRGC claimed at least 200 US soldiers were killed or wounded, though this could not be independently verified. Iran also said it struck Israeli military installations, which Israel confirmed without giving details.
Iran Vows More Attacks
Iranian officials said attacks on Israel and US bases in the region will continue. Foreign ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghaei said Tehran would target any regional location used by the US to attack Iran. Military spokesperson Abolfazl Shekarchi warned that Iran’s response would make the US and Israel “regret” their actions.
