06 March, 2026 08:55

March 6, 2026: Large demonstrations were held across Iran on Thursday as thousands of people gathered in the streets to condemn military attacks carried out by the United States and Israel.

Crowds marched in several cities and voiced anger over the strikes that targeted Iranian facilities and senior leadership. Protesters said the attacks were a violation of Iran’s sovereignty and demanded strong resistance against foreign aggression.

Large Rallies Held in Tehran

The largest demonstrations were seen in the capital city, Tehran. Thousands of people gathered in several areas, including Komeil Street, where crowds carried banners and chanted slogans against the United States and Israel.

Participants also expressed support for Iran’s government and its response to the ongoing conflict.

Many protesters said the attacks were an attempt to weaken the Islamic Republic and its leadership.

Demonstrations Spread to Other Iranian Cities

Protests were not limited to the capital. Large rallies were also reported in several other major cities.

In Mashhad, thousands gathered in public squares and streets to condemn the military strikes.

Crowds also gathered in Ilam, where people voiced support for the Islamic Republic and rejected what they described as foreign aggression.

Local reports said demonstrations continued in multiple provinces as public anger spread across the country.

Nationwide Demonstrations Since Start of Conflict

The protests are part of a wider wave of demonstrations that began last Saturday after the attacks started.

Participants have also expressed anger over the targeting of Iran’s top leadership, including the Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ali Khamenei.

Many demonstrators said the strikes were an attack on Iran’s sovereignty and national dignity.

Millions Join Mourning Gatherings

Earlier this week, millions of people across Iran joined mourning rallies after reports of the martyrdom of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei during the attacks.

Mass gatherings were reported in several provinces. In Isfahan, large crowds held spontaneous marches filled with grief and anger.

Similar demonstrations took place in Ahvaz, where protesters expressed unity and rejected the attacks on Iran.

Analysts say the demonstrations show strong public mobilization across the country during the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.
