March 6, 2026: Donald Trump said the United States could play a major role in shaping the future leadership of Iran after the ongoing conflict in the region. His remarks came during an interview on Thursday, where he discussed the war situation and future political developments.

Trump suggested that Washington wants to ensure that Iran’s next leadership moves the country in a different direction. He said the United States wants a future Iranian government that can rebuild the country but will not pursue nuclear weapons.

Trump Talks About Iran’s Future Leadership

During the interview, Trump said the United States may influence any settlement related to Iran’s political future. He claimed that if the US is not involved, the conflict could return again in the future.

Trump also mentioned the possible succession after the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei. According to Trump, Iranian authorities are reportedly considering Khamenei’s son as a possible successor.

Iran has not officially confirmed any leadership change. In Iran’s political system, the next Supreme Leader is usually chosen by the Assembly of Experts, a council of senior clerics.

Trump Defends Military Campaign

Trump also defended the ongoing military campaign against Iran. He dismissed concerns about the economic impact of the war. Critics have warned about rising global fuel prices and the possible strain on US military supplies.

However, Trump said the military operation is being conducted carefully. He claimed the United States has a large supply of weapons and military equipment.

Trump also argued that Iran’s military strength has been heavily damaged during the conflict. According to him, Iran’s air defense systems and radar networks have suffered major losses.

Trump Predicts Collapse of Cuban Government

While discussing global politics, Trump also made a prediction about Cuba. He said the Cuban government may collapse due to economic pressure and US policies.

Trump explained that Washington had taken steps to limit the oil support that Cuba previously received from Venezuela. He said the economic situation on the island is becoming more difficult.

Trump also confirmed that US officials are in contact with Cuban authorities as instability grows in the country.

Criticism of Ukraine Leadership

Trump also spoke about the war in Eastern Europe. He criticized Volodymyr Zelenskyy for not moving faster toward peace negotiations.

Trump said Zelenskyy should work quickly to reach a deal with Vladimir Putin. According to Trump, he believes Russia may be ready to negotiate an end to the conflict.

Dispute Between Pentagon and AI Company

In the same interview, Trump addressed a dispute between the US military and an artificial intelligence company. He criticized the company for refusing to give broader access to its technology to the United States Department of Defense.

Trump said the government decided to end cooperation with the company after the disagreement.

Analysts say Trump’s comments show how the United States is linking the Iran conflict with broader geopolitical strategies involving different regions of the world.
