Iran warns of consequences after Qeshm plant attack

Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has strongly condemned the attack on a desalination plant on Qeshm Island, calling it a serious crime.

Speaking about the incident, Araghchi said the attack has disrupted the water supply to 30 villages that depend on the plant for drinking water.

He said targeting Iran’s basic infrastructure is a very dangerous step and could lead to serious consequences.

The foreign minister warned that the attack could have grave results, stressing that such actions increase tensions in the region.

Araghchi also said that the United States had set the worst example, not Iran, while commenting on the situation.
