IRGC Offers Strait Access to Nations Expelling US, Israeli Envoys
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has issued a statement claiming that any country that expels Israeli and American ambassadors will be granted freedom to transit through the Strait of Hormuz.
In the announcement, the Revolutionary Guards specified that such nations would have complete freedom to navigate the waterway, effective immediately.
A spokesman for the IRGC dismissed President Trump’s recent remarks regarding Iran as “meaningless,” asserting, “We will determine the end of this war.” He further emphasized that regional security must be universal, warning that if attacks on Iran continue, the country will not allow the export of a single liter of oil from the region.
Meanwhile, during his address to the Republican Conference on Monday, President Trump reiterated that the U.S. Navy will protect ships in the Strait of Hormuz “when the time comes.” This followed his earlier statement that the U.S. Navy would accompany commercial vessels through the strait if necessary.
In response to the President’s comments, the Revolutionary Guards challenged Donald Trump to demonstrate the courage to deploy American ships to protect oil tankers in the area.
