The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has launched the 44th phase of its Operation True Promise 4, targeting several important military locations in Israeli-occupied areas and US bases across West Asia.
On Friday, the IRGC said the operation was carried out in honor of prominent resistance martyrs. These include Iran’s legendary General “Qasem Soleimani”, Hezbollah leader “Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah”, and Palestinian leaders “Ismail Haniyeh” and “Yahya Sinwar.”
The attack took place on the 23rd night of the holy month of Ramadan. According to the IRGC, missiles and drones targeted several locations in northern Israeli-occupied territories, including Kiryat Shmona, Haifa, and Hadera. US military installations in the region were also targeted.
The IRGC said it also struck the US Navy’s Fifth Fleet in Manama along with other American military bases in West Asia.
The operation used several precision-guided missiles such as Khorramshahr, Kheiber Shekan, Fattah, Imad, and Qadr, along with drone strikes aimed at enemy positions.
The operation’s code name, “Ya Sadiq al-Wa’ad” (O Keeper of the Promise), refers to fulfilling resistance against American and Israeli actions in the region.
This phase came shortly after the 43rd phase of the operation. During that attack, Kheibar Shekan missiles, each carrying a one-ton warhead, reportedly hit several strategic locations, including Israeli military positions in the occupied Palestinian territories, Tel Aviv, Eilat, and West Al-Quds.
In a statement, the IRGC said:
“Areas in the West Bank, Tel Aviv, and Eilat in the occupied Palestinian territories were struck by powerful Iranian missile attacks in this proud operation, commemorating the memory of the martyrs of Tariq al-Quds and emphasizing the strength, particularly that of the commander of the ‘True Promise’ operations, the martyr Major General Hossein Salami.”
The martyrs of Tariq al-Quds refer to those who were killed while fighting against Israeli occupation and supporting Palestinian rights and the liberation of Al-Quds.
Major General Hossein Salami, who served as the Commander-in-Chief of the IRGC, played an important role in shaping the “True Promise” operations and Iran’s regional military strategy.
The missile attacks were followed by drone strikes targeting US bases in Manama, Bahrain, and Erbil, Iraq.
One of the major incidents during the operation was the downing of a US Boeing KC-130 Stratotanker, which was refueling an Israeli fighter jet during an airstrike. According to the IRGC, all six crew members on board were killed.
In its statement, the IRGC said the operation was successful and warned that attacks would continue until its goals of eliminating Israel and gaining control over Al-Quds are achieved.
The statement also warned US forces, saying:
“American soldiers should vacate the area immediately, or we will bury you under rubble in any location, including hotels, tunnels, industrial zones, and underground shelters.”
The operation happened ahead of Al-Quds Day, which is observed as a day of solidarity with Palestinians.
Power Equations Changed
Brigadier General Ali Fadavi, a senior aide to the IRGC chief commander, said on Thursday that US and Israeli forces have suffered heavy damage since the start of Operation True Promise 4.
He said:
“Power equations in the region have changed in favor of the Resistance Front, and this transition is the start of the decline of America’s hollow dominance in West Asia.”
Meanwhile, Major General Ali Abdollahi, commander of Iran’s Khatam al Anbiya headquarters, said Iranian armed forces will fight enemies until the “last breath.”
He added that the enemy will be “forced to pay the price for its crimes.”
This statement came after the first message from the newly elected Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei.
Earlier, on February 28, the United States and the Israeli regime launched a military assault on Iran. After the attack, the late Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei was assassinated.
In response, Iran began launching missile and drone attacks on Israeli-occupied territories and US bases in the region.
Iran has repeatedly said that its operations only target American positions and bases and that it does not want conflict with Arab countries.
