Abbas Araghchi Criticizes US Shift on Russia Oil Policy
Tehran: Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has criticized the shifting energy policies of the United States, noting that for months, Washington pressured India to cease oil imports from Russia.
He remarked that the White House has radically changed its stance following the recent two-week conflict with Iran, now actively encouraging nations to purchase Russian crude oil.
Araqchi further addressed the position of European nations, suggesting they had aligned themselves with the campaign against Iran in hopes of securing greater American support and a stronger stance against Russia. However, he described the current state of those relying on American support as “pitiful,” implying that the geopolitical calculations of these European partners have not yielded the desired results.
