Iran to Continue Martyr Leader’s Path, Says Hamas Armed Wing
The armed wing of Hamas, a Palestinian resistance organization, has stated that it is confident that the Islamic Republic would carry on with its revolutionary fervor, resistance, and support for the Palestinian cause under the new leader of the nation.
In a statement on Friday in honor of International Quds Day, Abu Obeida, the spokesperson for the Ezzedine al-Qassam Brigades, discussed Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei’s recent election to the leadership of the Islamic Republic in the wake of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei’s martyrdom during unprovoked American-Israeli aggression.
Abu Obeida cited the millions of people who participated in Quds Day demonstrations across Iran, a day set aside by the late Ayatollah Khomeini, the founder of the Islamic Republic, to rally support for the Palestinian cause on a global scale.
He observed that the country’s top officials joined the vibrant demonstrations despite the ongoing hostilities.
Such an appearance, he said,”is further proof of their principled position of supporting Palestine, and that the Islamic Republic, under the leadership of Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, will continue on the same path that was charted by the martyr Seyyed Ali Khamenei with his blood.”
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) reprisal strikes against Israeli targets during the day were also praised by the spokesperson.
The retaliation “healed the chests of our bereaved people and lit up the hearts of the free people before they illuminated the sky of Tel Aviv.”
Returning to the topic of Quds Day, Abu Obeida saw it as “an opportunity to unite the energies of the [global Muslim] nation and correct the compass towards its major issues” in view of the Palestinians’ continued suffering at the hands of the Israeli government and its allies.
