United States Sends B-2 Bombers for New Strikes on Iran
Washington: The United States has dispatched B-2 bombers to conduct further strikes against Iran.
In a social media statement, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) explained that the deployment of B-2 bombers is intended not only to neutralize the immediate threat posed by the Iranian regime through long-range strikes but also to dismantle its capacity to project power in the future.
Earlier, U.S. Secretary of War Pete Hegseth claimed that the Iranian leadership has gone underground in anticipation of intensified attacks. Hegseth vowed that operations would continue unabated, asserting that the global community should not be concerned about the situation in the Strait of Hormuz.
The Secretary noted that an average of more than 1,000 strikes have been launched against Iran daily in a joint campaign by the U.S. and Israeli air forces, which he stated has significantly weakened Iran’s military capabilities.
He further emphasized that the objective of the United States and Israel is to completely destroy or disable Iran’s key military infrastructure, warning that companies associated with the nation’s defense industry will be targeted in the near future.
