Israel Might Not Exist Without Netanyahu: Trump
U.S. President Donald Trump has publicly described Israeli President Isaac Herzog as “weak and pathetic” for his handling of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s pardon request. In a recent interview, Trump stated that Herzog is using the pardon process as leverage against the prime minister and asserted that he should grant the pardon immediately. Trump emphasized that he wants Netanyahu focused entirely on the ongoing war rather than his criminal trial.
Regarding Netanyahu, Trump offered high praise, stating that if he were not currently serving as prime minister, Israel might not exist today. He affirmed, “I am completely with Netanyahu,” and when asked if any other leader could have achieved the successes they have reached together, Trump replied, “I don’t think so.”
On the subject of the ongoing war with Iran and the security of the Strait of Hormuz, Trump suggested that other nations must increase their involvement. He argued that since many countries rely on that strait for their oil supply—while the United States does not—those nations should participate in securing the passage.
