Ali Larijani Tells Muslim Nations in Open Letter: U.S. Not Loyal, Israel Your Enemy
Ali Larijani, Secretary General of Iran’s National Security Council, has issued a formal six-point open letter to Muslim nations, published via his account on X.
In the letter, Larijani asserts that Iran faced a coordinated American and Zionist assault during negotiations—an attack specifically designed to break the nation’s resolve. He notes that this aggression resulted in the martyrdom of the Supreme Commander, numerous military officials, and many civilians. Larijani points out that, with very few exceptions, no Islamic country stood in solidarity with the Iranian people during this crisis. Despite this lack of support, he claims the Iranian people overcame the enemy through sheer will, leaving their adversaries unable to escape the resulting strategic crisis.
Addressing the broader geopolitical struggle, Larijani states that Iran remains on the path of resistance against “the big and small devils”—the United States and Israel. He questions the stance of certain Islamic governments, citing the Hadith of the Prophet (peace be upon him): “Whoever hears a Muslim’s cry for help and does not respond is not a Muslim.” He pointedly asks what version of Islam such governments are practicing if they remain silent.
Larijani further criticizes countries that have labeled Iran an enemy for targeting American bases and Zionist interests located on their soil. He dismisses these grievances as baseless excuses, asking: “Is Iran expected to sit idly by while American bases in your countries are used to attack it?” He then challenges these nations to decide whether they stand with the United States and Israel or with Iran and the forces of resistance.
Concluding his message, Larijani urges leaders to consider the future of the Islamic world. He warns that the United States is not loyal to them and that Israel remains their true enemy. He encourages these nations to pause and reflect on the future of the region, asserting that Iran is a well-wisher with no intent to dominate its neighbors. He maintains that if the Muslim Ummah establishes a strong alliance, it can ensure security, progress, and freedom for all member countries.
