Kuwait Announces New Office Hours After Eid ul Fitr 2026
Kuwait has announced new working rules for government offices after the Eid ul Fitr holiday. The rules start right after Eid and will stay until further notice.
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) said that only 30% of employees can be in the office at the same time. Departments can use rotation systems to decide who comes in on which days.
Official work hours will now be six hours per day. Employees using special reduced-hour rules will only work four hours per day. Regular attendance systems, like fingerprint check-ins, will still be used.
Where possible, employees can work from home. This is to give staff flexibility and reduce crowding in offices.
Evening shifts are suspended for now. However, jobs that legally require shifts will continue as usual.
These new rules will start immediately after the Eid holidays. All government departments must follow them until the CSC announces any changes.
