Trump Says US May End Iran War Soon Despite Hormuz Crisis
Even if the Strait of Hormuz problem is still unsolved, US President Donald Trump has stated that he is thinking about reducing the ongoing unprovoked aggression against Iran.
Trump asserted that the US was on the verge of accomplishing the military objectives of the aggression in a post on his Truth Social platform on Friday. As we contemplate concluding our massive military endeavors in the Middle East, we are quite close to achieving our goals.”
He cited what he described as defending US friends in the area and weakening Iran’s industrial base and missile capacity.
The comments were made in the context of the Islamic Republic’s vigorous ongoing reaction, known as Operation True Promise 4, which continues to use the nation’s weapons to seize more and more hostile objectives.
There have been persistent counterattacks against US military installations around the region, including those in Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan.
Sensitive and vital areas throughout the occupied territories, such as those in Tel Aviv, the holy occupied city of al-Quds, Haifa, Be’er Sheva, which is regarded as a technological hub, and the Negev Desert, have also been hit by the retaliation.
Trump hinted that the US would relinquish direct responsibility for the crucial Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has blocked to both enemy and allied ships since the start of the invasion.
“The Hormuz Strait will have to be guarded and policed, as necessary, by other Nations who use it — The United States does not.”
In response to the comments, American publication Axios noted that attempts to reopen the strait had been challenging.
It quoted Trump’s advisors as saying that, despite his claimed military success, he was frustrated by the lack of coalition support.
In an effort to safeguard the strait, the US has asked NATO allies and others to provide air and naval resources. Some have just supported a political declaration endorsing the operation, but the majority have refused to deploy troops.
Trump has responded to partners’ hesitation by labeling NATO nations “cowards” and claiming that NATO is “a paper tiger” in the absence of US support.
Energy costs are still rising as a result of disturbances to the world’s oil supply.
