Israeli President Reviews Pardon Request of Netanyahu in Corruption Case

Israeli President Isaac Herzog has sent Prime Minister Netanyahu’s pardon request for corruption charges back to the Justice Ministry.

Israeli President Isaac Herzog has requested more material for a decision on the request. The president’s legal advisor said in a statement that “previous precedents and additional legal material are needed regarding the power to grant pardons during ongoing judicial proceedings, especially in cases where diplomatic or security factors are involved.”

According to officials, this move is only to complete a professional review and does not indicate a final decision.

On the other hand, American Republican influencer Tucker Carlson released a documentary about Netanyahu’s corruption on his channel.

The film consists of 1,000 tapes of the Israeli police investigation into Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s corruption, but the film is banned in Israel.
