Iran Speaker Rejects Trump Ultimatum, Vows Decisive Action

The speaker of Iran’s parliament, Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf, has condemned the aggressive threats made by US President Donald Trump against the Islamic Republic and warned that any such act will be crushed by Iran.

Qalibaf revealed the enemy’s strategy of masking its aggressive aims as “news” while making outright threats in a statement published on X on Monday, explicitly addressing Trump’s repeated ultimatums attacking Iran’s oil infrastructure.

“The enemy threatens our country while simultaneously promoting its goals as news.” A huge error. The speaker of Parliament said, “If they hit one, they’ll take several back.”

Under the astute and cautious leadership of Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Qalibaf expressed complete faith in the Iranian people’s resolve, emphasizing that the country will force any aggressor to deeply regret its adventurism and fully reclaim its legitimate rights.

“God willing, the people of Iran, under the leadership of the Supreme Leader, will make the enemy regret the aggression and reclaim their rights,” he said.

The comments follow Trump’s most recent provocations, in which he threatened to “obliterate” Iran’s power plants, oil wells, and even water desalination facilities unless Tehran fully reopened the Strait of Hormuz within a 48-hour deadline. This was an obvious attempt at economic blackmail and a clear violation of international law.

Iranian authorities have written off the US president’s saber-rattling as psychological warfare meant to influence international energy markets and make up for Washington’s geopolitical missteps.

Such threats only serve to bolster national unity and demonstrate the inadequacy of US pressure tactics as the Islamic Republic continues to resist imperialist bullying.

Iran is still ready to use overwhelming force if necessary to protect its sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national interests, thanks to the full support of its citizens and the strategic depth of the Axis of Resistance.

Qalibaf’s remarks give the enemy yet another unmistakable indication that the period of unchecked US-Zionist aggression in the area is gone and that any miscalculation would simply accelerate the enemy’s defeat and isolation.

In response, the Iranian military has been conducting daily drone and missile operations against US military installations and assets throughout West Asia, as well as targets in Israeli-occupied regions.

In order to preserve security along the vital waterway, they have also barred the Strait of Hormuz to gas and oil tankers connected to the enemies and those working with them.
