Taliban Regime’s Support for Fitna Al-Khwarij Exposed Again: Regional Security at Risk

International reports have once again highlighted the Afghan Taliban regime’s backing and protection of terrorist groups, raising serious security concerns not only for Afghanistan but the entire region.

According to the Australian publication The Conversation, after seizing power in Afghanistan, the Taliban integrated radical armed factions into official government forces. The report also notes that India is allegedly supporting the Taliban to further its own geopolitical and regional interests.

The Australian outlet further revealed that the Taliban have provided Fitna Al-Khwarij (TTP) with safe havens in Afghanistan. Experts warn that the terrorist group, under Taliban protection, aims to extend its influence beyond Afghanistan, targeting Pakistan as well.

“The Taliban regime has allowed Fitna Al-Khwarij to carry out attacks on Pakistan from Afghan soil,” The Conversation reported, highlighting the cross-border threat.

Analysts point out that the Taliban, under guidance from their Indian backers, are facilitating terrorist organizations to maintain their illegitimate hold over Afghanistan. Pakistan has repeatedly presented evidence of terrorism originating from Afghan territory, a claim that has received recognition at international forums.
