IRGC Navy Launches Wave 97 of Operation True Promise 4, Striking Key US and Israeli Targets Across Gulf Region
The Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) has confirmed that its naval forces carried out a large-scale missile and drone assault targeting key American and Israeli positions as part of the 97th wave of Operation True Promise 4.
According to an official statement released on Sunday, the coordinated attack involved precision strikes on multiple strategic sites across the region. One of the primary targets included a location near the Mohammad al-Ahmad naval base in Kuwait, reportedly used by US commanders and personnel.
The IRGC stated that the facility was destroyed using a combination of ballistic missiles and advanced attack drones. Reports from the area suggest a significant emergency response presence, indicating possible heavy casualties.
This operation follows a previous strike on a US command and training center in the United Arab Emirates, where at least 25 individuals were reported killed or injured.
In a separate development, an Israeli commercial vessel was hit by a Qadir cruise missile near Jebel Ali Port in the UAE. “The ship is currently on fire,” the IRGC said.
The IRGC also revealed that its naval forces have been controlling maritime movement through the Strait of Hormuz, preventing unauthorized vessels from passing and redirecting them to designated anchorage points.
The statement emphasized that all oil tankers and commercial ships operating in the Persian Gulf and the Sea of Oman must coordinate with IRGC Navy stations via marine communication channels before transit.
Additionally, the IRGC warned maritime crews against relying on misinformation, urging them to follow official guidance to ensure their safety.
These developments come after Iran imposed shipping restrictions in response to what it described as an unprovoked conflict initiated by the United States and Israel earlier this year.
The IRGC Aerospace Force also targeted an industrial zone linked to the Israeli military in Beersheba, describing the strike as retaliation for “the atrocities of the brutal Zionist regime” against Iran.
Earlier the same day, Iranian forces reportedly struck targets in the UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait in response to US-Israeli attacks on civilian infrastructure.
Despite the scale of these operations, the IRGC stated that its actions so far represent only part of its overall response. It warned that any further attacks on civilian facilities would trigger a more extensive and intense phase of military action.
Iranian armed forces and allied groups in the region continue their coordinated operations, with a total of 97 waves of missile and drone strikes targeting US bases and Israeli military installations across West Asia.
