Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad-Bagher Ghalibaf has issued his first official statement since the end of the Islamabad talks.
In messages released on the social media platform X, Iranian Parliament Speaker Qalibaf said that he had emphasized before the start of the negotiations that we have good intentions and intentions, but in light of the experiences of the last two wars, we do not trust the opposing side at all.
Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, while issuing an important statement regarding recent negotiations and national defense, said that the Iranian delegation presented solid proposals based on the future; however, at this stage, the opposing side has failed to gain the trust of the Iranian delegation.
Ghalibaf said that the US has understood our logic and principles well; now it is up to it to decide what steps it takes to gain our trust. He made it clear that Iran considers negotiations an important means of diplomatic option and protection of the rights of the Iranian nation.
He further said that Iran will not give up for a moment in its efforts to consolidate the achievements of its 40-day national defense.
Ghalibaf praised the courage of the Iranian people, saying that this united nation of 90 million people took to the streets in response to the Supreme Leader’s instructions and sent their delegation off with prayers.
In his statement, Ghalibaf thanked Pakistan, saying that he is grateful for the efforts of his friend and brotherly country Pakistan for facilitating the negotiation process and expresses his best wishes to the people of Pakistan.
He congratulated his colleagues who participated in the 21-hour-long and arduous negotiations, saying that their hard work would not go in vain. He concluded his speech with the slogan, “Long live and long live our dear Iran.”
