Free Saudi SIM cards and data announced for Hajj Pilgrims

The government has announced that all Hajj pilgrims will be given free Saudi SIM cards during their journey.

According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs Pakistan, every pilgrim going for Hajj will receive a SIM card in Saudi Arabia without any cost.

For pilgrims staying around 40 days, the package will include 600 local and international minutes and 40GB of internet data for free.

Officials said that pilgrims using the short package will get 300 minutes and 25GB internet data free of charge.

The ministry spokesperson explained that these minutes can be used for making and receiving calls.

Authorities also advised pilgrims not to buy any SIM cards other than the one provided by the government to avoid issues during their stay.

Overall, this step is aimed at making communication easier for Pakistani pilgrims during Hajj.
