Iranian Leaders Reject Trump’s Claims of Internal Divisions

24 April, 2026 09:44

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, and judiciary chief Gholamhossein Mohseni Ejei have strongly rejected claims made by US President Donald Trump regarding alleged divisions within Iran’s leadership.

Trump had claimed that there was infighting between so-called “hardliners” and “moderates” across Iran’s political and military establishment, suggesting internal disagreements over key national decisions.

In separate posts on X, Pezeshkian and Ghalibaf dismissed the claim and stated that in Iran, there is no such division between moderates and hardliners.

They said, “We are all Iranian and revolutionary, and with the iron unity of the nation and the government, and with full obedience to the Supreme Leader of the Revolution, we will make the transgressing aggressor regret its actions.”

They further added, “One God, one leader, one nation, one path,” emphasizing national unity and loyalty to Iran’s leadership.

Judiciary chief Ejei also echoed the same position, stating that the terms “hardliner” and “moderate” are meaningless and baseless concepts created in Western political discourse.

He said that in the Islamic Republic of Iran, all groups and factions remain united under the guidance and orders of the Supreme Leader, rejecting any narrative of internal political division.
