Royal Visit Updates : King Charles III, Queen Camilla visit NYC

Royal’s third day of state visit, King Charles and Queen Camilla arrived in New York City On Wednesday 29 April 2026. The visit started with a solemn ceremony at the 9/11 Memorial in lower Manhattan.

In the ceremony King and queen with former and current New York City mayors to honors the thousands killed in Sept. 11 attacks nearly 25 years ago, including 67 Britons. During the time of memorial King and queen met with victims’ family and first responders.

After the ceremony, King and Queen divided to attend separate events in NYC. King Charles travel to Harlem while Queen Camilla visited New York Public Library.

At Harlem to meet with children participating in an urban farm project before attending a U.K.-U.S. trade and business event.

While at the New York Public Library, Queen met with writers and poets. The two later reunited for an evening cultural reception.

In the royal history King and Queen has visited New York for the first time.

On Thursday, the royal tour continues to Washington, D.C., area, Arlington National Cemetery and Shenandoah National Park are the stops scheduled, before the depart the United States.
