Iran submits new proposal to US via Pakistan: State media

Iran has sent a revised negotiation proposal to the United States through Pakistani mediators on Thursday, IRNA news agency reported on Friday.

The move comes as diplomatic efforts continue between Tehran and Washington to reduce tensions and find a long-term solution.

Earlier, Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said Iran wants a durable peace through talks with the United States.

However, senior Iranian clerics and lawmakers have said that negotiations over the nuclear program and the Strait of Hormuz are no longer part of current discussions.

The latest proposal suggests both sides are still exploring ways to move forward despite major disagreements on key issues.
