Hindu Extremist Group RSS Faces Global Pressure Over Anti-Minority Allegations

Reports have placed India’s RSS (Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh) under growing international scrutiny following allegations related to its ideology and activities concerning minorities.

According to a report by Reuters, the RSS has been accused of promoting Hindutva ideology and supporting a narrative that is seen as encouraging violence against minority communities.

The report states that the organization has previously faced restrictions and criticism due to its alleged extremist leanings. It also notes that during the tenure of the BJP government, the influence of RSS-linked ideology has increased in Indian politics.

Major political developments, including the Ram Temple movement and the revocation of Kashmir’s special status, have been described in the report as key outcomes aligned with the RSS ideological agenda.

The U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom has reportedly recommended sanctions against the RSS, linking the group to concerns about intolerance and violence against minorities. The recommendations also include possible asset freezes and restrictions on entry into the United States.

According to the report, the RSS has launched a global lobbying campaign in response to increasing pressure. Its leaders have become more active in countries such as the United States, the United Kingdom, and Germany.

RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale recently held briefings in Delhi and announced further outreach efforts in Europe and Asia, aiming to improve the organization’s international image.

Political analysts say the RSS has also hired lobbying firms in the United States, while critics argue that public resources are indirectly being used to improve its global perception.

Experts further suggest that rising concerns over extremist ideology and minority rights could affect India’s international relations, particularly with Western countries.
