Iran’s Parliament Speaker Urges Massive Turnout for Khamenei Funeral

Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf has called on the Iranian people to participate in the upcoming funeral ceremonies for the Martyred Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and to demand vengeance for the blood of the martyred leader. In a message issued on Thursday, Qalibaf said the funeral procession, scheduled to take place from July 4 to 9, would serve as a demonstration of national unity and commitment to the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.
Qalibaf said the ceremonies would be more than a farewell to the late leader, describing them as an occasion for Iranians to renew their allegiance to the path of the martyrs and the values of the Islamic Revolution. He urged citizens from across the country to take part in what he characterized as a historic national event.
“Today, the eyes of history are fixed upon Iran,” Qalibaf said, expressing hope that a massive public turnout would reflect the people’s love and loyalty. He added that the large-scale participation would, in his view, transform the funeral into one of the most significant events in history and send a strong message of solidarity.
