Shehbaz Sharif Meets Turkcell CEO in Istanbul, Stresses Digital Cooperation

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met the Chief Executive Officer of Turkcell in Istanbul, where both sides discussed opportunities to expand cooperation in the digital and technology sectors between Pakistan and Turkiye. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral ties in the field of digital innovation.

During the meeting, the prime minister highlighted the importance of enhanced collaboration in digital transformation and technology development. He referred to the government’s vision for establishing a Pakistan–Turkiye Digital Corridor aimed at deepening institutional and private-sector linkages between the two countries.

Shehbaz Sharif invited Turkcell to pursue long-term partnerships with Pakistani institutions, saying such cooperation would help strengthen Pakistan’s technology ecosystem. He added that increased collaboration could create opportunities for innovation, employment, and sustainable economic growth, while reaffirming the government’s commitment to maintaining an investment-friendly environment.
