Iran launches drone attacks on US bases in response to deadly American strikes, Vows Strong Defense of Sovereignty

The Islamic Republic of Iran Army has launched retaliatory drone operations against US military installations in the region following what Tehran described as deadly American strikes against Iranian territory and a violation of the recently reached ceasefire understanding.
According to the Iranian Army’s public relations department, a large-scale drone operation targeted US military facilities in Kuwait, Qatar, and Bahrain. The statement said kamikaze drones were directed at a Patriot missile system in Kuwait, an early-warning satellite antenna in Qatar, and fuel storage facilities linked to US forces in Bahrain.
Iranian officials said the operation was carried out in response to what they described as acts of aggression against Iran, stressing that the country’s armed forces would continue defending national sovereignty and protecting the interests of the Iranian people.
The Iranian Army stated that, under the directives of the Leader and Commander-in-Chief Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei, the Armed Forces would not allow foreign powers to achieve their objectives through military pressure and would continue their mission with determination.
The announcement came after a series of US airstrikes across several Iranian provinces. Iranian officials said the attacks caused casualties and damage to infrastructure, with the country’s Health Ministry reporting that 14 people were killed and 78 others injured.
Iran has described the US and Israeli military campaign as an unlawful act of aggression, claiming that senior Iranian officials, military commanders, and civilians were among those affected. Tehran has accused its adversaries of escalating tensions in the region and threatening regional stability.
Iranian officials said that after weeks of confrontation, the opposing side was forced to accept a ceasefire following what Tehran called Iran’s strong resistance and retaliatory operations. They also highlighted Iran’s strategic position in the Strait of Hormuz as a key factor in regional developments.
A Pakistan-brokered Memorandum of Understanding was later signed between Tehran and Washington, according to Iranian officials, aimed at ending hostilities across different fronts and creating a framework for future negotiations.
However, Iran has repeatedly emphasized that any diplomatic process must be based on mutual respect, sovereignty, and guarantees against further military action.
The latest drone operations mark another escalation in the ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States, as Tehran continues to assert that it will respond firmly to any threat against its territory and national security.
