International Lullaby Festival to Highlight Minab School Attack

The secretary of the International Lullaby Festival, Maziar Rezakhani, announced that the event will be held in international and domestic sections, with participation open to artists from around the world. He said the festival aims to showcase maternal love and lullabies as a universal language shared by mothers across different cultures and nations.

Rezakhani said the festival will focus on the attack on Minab on the first day of the war launched by the United States and Israel in early February. He added that the event seeks to draw attention to the incident and challenge what he described as efforts to hide or distort its details.

The festival secretary said the call for entries will soon be released, allowing artists globally to submit their creative works. He emphasized that organizing such an artistic event has become increasingly important amid what he described as attempts to conceal the impact of the attack on the Minab school.

According to Iranian officials, at least 168 students and teachers were killed on February 28 when a US strike hit Shajareh-Tayyebeh Primary School in Minab, located in southern Iran. The festival organizers said the event will provide a platform for artists and cultural figures to express solidarity and highlight the human impact of the tragedy.
