Oil Tanker Traffic Through Strait of Hormuz Falls to Two-Month Low

The number of oil tankers passing through the Strait of Hormuz has fallen to its lowest level in more than two months, according to shipping tracking data.

Reuters reported that only one oil tanker crossed the strategic waterway on July 23, compared with three vessels on July 22, based on data from marine intelligence company Kpler.

The sharp decline comes as rising security risks in regional waters have raised concerns about oil supplies and pushed global crude prices close to $100 per barrel.

The Strait of Hormuz is a key route for global oil shipments, and reduced tanker traffic could further increase pressure on international oil markets.
